Services Offered

Initial assessment and identification of client’s treatment goals and individualized treatment plan

For all clients this includes clearly identifying the client’s goals and desired outcomes along with the strategies, skills and insight that would likely be useful in reaching those goals or outcomes. Our role is to act as a guide, providing professional expertise and skills designed to assist you in reaching your desired outcome. For those seeking help with disordered eating or body image concerns the assessment will include identification of patterns regarding food restriction, binge eating, compulsive exercise, purging and any current or previous diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa or Binge Eating Disorder.

Individual counseling

Including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused counseling, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness to address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, professional or career stressors, and work-life balance.

Couples counseling

Working with couples at all stages of the lifespan of the relationship, whether strengthening the relationship early on, working through a stage of difficulty later in the relationship or learning how to adapt your long term relationship to your current life stage.

Relationship counseling for non-couple relationships

This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating healthy communication and improving relationships between adult children and their parents, among adult siblings or with other important personal relationships.

Group counseling

A small process group (maximum of 8 members) for adult women covering a variety of issues depending on the needs of the group members. It is an ongoing group with clients entering when space is available and leaving when they choose to, typically when they have met their goals.

Coordination with other treating providers such as psychiatrists, nutritionists, family physicians (only with client consent)

We believe it is important to identify the client’s goals and whether or not my practice will be able to assist in working toward those goals very early in the process. If at any time a client or we believe another provider or service would be more beneficial, we will gladly provide a list of trusted referrals.
